Our Story
Founded in 1999 in Bosaso, Puntland
Founded in 1999 in Bosaso, Puntland State of Somalia, East Africa University has grown from a pioneering regional institution into a nationally recognised university with 9 campuses, 50+ degree programmes, and 100+ active research hubs. For over 25 years, we have provided Diploma, Bachelor's and Master's programmes entirely online and on-campus.
Since the post-civil-war era, EAU has championed peacebuilding, good governance, and sustainable development through the power of education. Our graduates are leading businesses, shaping public policy, healing communities, and driving innovation across East Africa and beyond.
