Fine Arts and Design
About This Program
The Bachelor's program in Fine Arts and Design is a creative, hands-on program for students who want to build a career in visual communication, design, and the arts. Over four years, students develop both traditional artistic skills and modern digital design techniques, building a professional portfolio along the way.
What You Will Learn
Coursework covers drawing and visual composition, graphic design and branding, digital media and multimedia production, typography, and art history with a focus on Somali and East African cultural heritage. Students complete studio projects throughout the program and a final portfolio project in their senior year.
Graduates pursue careers as graphic and visual designers, work with media houses and creative agencies, or build independent design practices. The program also prepares students for further study in design, media, or the visual arts.
